Our capped wood-plastic composite decking adopts a double-layer composite structure, consisting of an outer protective layer (cap) and an internal core material.
The outer protective layer (i.e., the cap layer) is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) composite material and is reinforced with UV stabilizers and antioxidants. This layer forms a 360-degree all-round moisture-proof barrier, effectively preventing water penetration, stain absorption, and surface fading. It has been certified by SGS and Intertek as having B-level fire resistance performance, and its anti-slip grade in humid environments reaches R10.
The internal structural core material constitutes the base of the floor and is made of high-quality wood-plastic composite material, with high-performance coupling agents added to enhance strength. This core material not only provides sufficient rigidity to withstand high-frequency foot traffic and commercial loads, but also minimizes deformation to the greatest extent. Its flexural strength is 28.8 MPa (in accordance with EN 15534-1 standards), ensuring reliable supporting performance under normal joist spans.

Capped composite, also known as co-extrusion, comes with a high-density HDPE polymer shield. This shield is extruded at the same time as the WPC core. The result is a 360-degree protective layer. It performs better in terms of moisture resistance, UV resistance, and stain resistance. First-generation uncapped boards don’t have this protection. They tend to fade and grow mold more easily.
